Tell Me How to Get to Sesame Street

Recently released on DVD, “Sesame Street: Old School” collects the memories of Generation X-ers who grew up with the beloved characters of Jim Henson and gives the current crop of kids a taste of what our world was like way back when.

Bridging the gap between nostalgia and a current favorite, Sesame Street has been popular with children of all ages for over 30 years. Many of the kids who grew up watching Sesame Street now have children of their own. And even those of us without kids sometimes get a hankering to reacquaint ourselves with our favorite monsters that pre-dated the hyper-caffinated Elmo.

In addition to the DVDs, Sesame Street also boasts a ton of other items on the market ranging from educational and stuffed toys to yes, even costumes. Just for fun and in the spirit of imagination that colors the Sesame Street landscape, children may want to dress as some of their favorite monsters.

In sizes to fit infants, toddlers, young children and teven adults, here’s the ultra-popular elmo. Kick it a little more “old school” as Cookie Monster or Big Bird.
