Ok, this has to end up on your Halloween party table, one way of the other! What if you would give your friends body parts to eat this Halloween? Well, not real ones, but made of bread.
Originally created by a Thailand Artist Kittiwat Unarrom, come on, this idea could easily become a business of its own here in the US! This is an extraordinary idea and I cannot believe we haven’t see this at the local Stop n Shop or Costco yet during Halloween… any takers?
Watch this video, it’s freaky, but really amazing:

Halloween wouldn’t be Halloween without… Saw! That’s right.
Every year for the past 4 years, we’ve been ‘invited’ to watch of one of the most scary series of movies of all time named Saw, directed by a team of incredible producers (James Wan and Darren Lynn Bousman and David Hackl).
I love Saw, well you read this blog, you know that already, I have talked about it here, here and here

After an absence from the road, masked musicians Slipknot hits the tour trail again as a headlining act on the Rockstar Mayhem Tour, sponsored by the Rockstar Energy drink. Scheduled to hit major cities across the United States, tour dates can be found here to see if they’re headed to an amphitheatre near you this summer.
With a new album due out in August, Iowa’s gift to the music scene, Slipknot, is a throwback to the days of Kiss, with many of the members until recently having kept their faces hidden from fans for a long time beneath distinctive masks worn by each member. The nine musicians’ mask styles have changed slightly over the years, but still remain variations on the same theme. Shawn “Clown” Crahan usually wears a creepy clown mask, while drummer Joey Jordison favors a Kabuki style mask. Regardless of their style, a menacing, horror theme extends throughout all of the Slipknot faces… And fans love ‘em for it!

A Nightmare on Elm Street seems to be set to come back based on some reports… This is pretty hot news and definitely something to be looking forward to. We love to see a people wearing Freddy Krueger costumes and masks at Halloween, totally freaky, totally cool.
Michael Bay would be set to direct the movie (he recently directed Transformers the movie) and of course we do expect Robert Englund to take the role of Freddy, wouldn’t you?
It’s pretty cool i think, A Nightmare on Elm Street started in 1984 and still can make us all scream and jump out of our seats nearly 25 years later!
Oh, and we’re going to post also in the upcoming days about 2 horror movie remakes that could bring some hot scary costume ideas this Halloween. Stay tuned!

Horror, fantasy, and comic book genre fans were treated to a trailer for the Hellboy sequel, Hellboy: The Golden Army during the previews before the blockbuster, “Cloverfield.” From the looks of it, it shouldn’t disappoint and may be even better than the first one. With the film’s director, Guillermo del Toro gaining worldwide acclaim for his foreign fantasy film, “Pan’s Labrynth” and the new “The Orphanage”, the new Hellboy flick is already eagerly being anticipated by critics as well as fans of the Mike Mignola comic book.
The preview shows that many of the main characters from the first film are present, several new fan-favorite characters are slated to make an appearance in the sequel. So far, the only costumes available are of the big red guy, Hellboy himself, with an assortment of masks, full-length costumes, and even Hellboy’s large red fist to accessorize with. Hopefully, the July 2008 release will yield some other cool costumes based on popular supporting characters such as the intellectual half-man half-fish, Abe Sapien and the eagerly awaited new character (taken directly from Mignola’s comics), the metaphysical medium without a body, Johann Strauss.

“Lost” creator and director J.J. Abrams set out to create a uniquely American monster movie with “Cloverfield.” Stating in interviews that he thought King Kong to be too cute and too cuddly and Godzilla to be the definitive Japanese mega-monster, this top-secret project has finally landed in theatres. With elements of John Carpenter’s legendary “Escape From New York,” the hand-held camera feel of “The Blair Witch Project”, and a pinch of H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulu mythos, “Cloverfield” has the makings to become a cult classic.
Depending on how well “Cloverfield” fares at the box office, that may dictate what sort of costumes for the silver screen’s newest fiend materialize before the Halloween season rolls around. Til then, show your love for your favorite large-and-in-charge monster with some King Kong or Godzilla costumes.

Let’s face it. You’d be hard pressed to find more die-hard fans of a genre than sci-fi and horror buffs. Combine science fiction film connoisseurs with comic book fans, and you’ve got potential to bank beaucoup bucks at the box-office.
Due out December 25th in movie theatres, “Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem” boasts the tagline “This Christmas, there will be no peace on earth.” The sequel to 2004’s combination of the two cult film franchises initially got its start as a comic book. Affectionately known as “AvP” to fanboys (and fangirls), Dark Horse released this dream-team crossover in 1989 as a prelude to the then-forthcoming “Predator 2.” AvP was later made into a regular Dark Horse title in 1992, and finally into a feature film in 2004.
The story’s basic premise pit Predator against Alien, hunting them as part of an initiation ritual. The warrior Predator aliens are downright cuddly compared to the exoskeletal, acid-hissing Aliens.

It would seem that director Tim Burton has an unparalleled love for the holidays. The gothic-leaning filmsmith’s latest movie, an adaptation of the Broadway musical, “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street,” is due out in theatres on December 21, 2007 — days before the Christmas holiday.
While Sweeney Todd isn’t the warmest of characters (although the “meat pies” he makes from his victims are piping hot), Burton has seemed to have some luck with films around the warmest of seasons. With the Victorian-era styled “Sweeney Todd” springing to mind the similarly attired characters of Charles’ Dickens “A Christmas Carol,” it also calls to mind yet another holiday-themed Tim Burton film.
Still possessing a rabid fan following over ten years after its original theatrical release, Nightmare Before Christmas is another stroke of luck and genius on Burton’s part centering around the holidays.

“It’s astounding! Time is fleeting! Madness takes its toll!” Over 27 years later, The Rocky Horror Picture Show maintains a fan following so rabid that the film refuses to be merely contained to DVD or the silver screen. Sure, you can check out the cult classic on DVD or at various midnight showings still staged throughout the country. However, the only way to truly see The Rocky Horror Picture show is at a costumed showing, acted out by the fans in tandem with the actual film shown on screen.
All over the country, fans turn out in droves, dressed in full costume regalia as their favorite characters from the film. A select few participate as leads by acting out the roles of the principal characters, but the entire audience takes part interacting with the film. From chucking toast at the screen when “A toast!” is called for to doing The Time Warp out of their seats, everyone becomes a part of the wild and wooly festivities.
