Emma Rose Shapiro is a civic minded 11 year old who has decided to collect Halloween costumes in her local area. She is asking that 100 local organizations begin collecting Halloween costumes. It can be any organization that decides to collect these costumes from summer camps, schools, businesses, etc. The goal is to collect 1000 Halloween costumes and give them to individuals who may not get to celebrate Halloween.
Some children are unable to get Halloween costumes, which means these children feel they can’t celebrate the holiday. Emma has partnered with the Greater Norristown PAL in order to get the costumes distributed to those who need them. She is asking for any Halloween costumes which are in relatively good order. It doesn’t matter if they have been worn, as long as they are gently used. Lots of children get a new costume each year based on their current idols, favorite movies, or other reasons. They may have even out grown the Halloween costumes. The point is there are individuals out there who can’t afford a costume.

Phil Spector may be headed to jail, but will he be allowed to take his awesome collection of wigs with him?
The 69-year-old music mogul best known for his “Wall of Sound” production technique he used working with the likes of the Righteous Brothers (with whom he penned “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’”), Ike and Tina Turner, and various girl groups like The Ronettes, has been convicted of second degree murder. Spector was given 19 years to life in prison after an initial mistrial regarding the 2003 death of actress Lana Clarkson who was found dead at a party in Spector’s home, the victim of a gunshot wound to the head.
While Phil Spector’s fate has been determined, what will happen to his fabulous collection of wigs that appeared upon his head during the course of his trial? Chances are, you may not be able to get your hands on one of these (unless they may be auctioned off for charity… Who knows? Stranger things have happened!), but you can get your mitts on some synthetic substitutes if the urge strikes you to concoct your very own Phil Spector costume in time for Halloween or any celebrity-themed costume party.

And out come the claws! In a battle for tabloid cover for supremacy, ferociously fertile matriarchs, Nadya Suleman (AKA – Octomom) and Kate Gosselin of
John and Kate Plus Eight have been taking pot shots at one another. Earlier in the year, Kate Gosselin remarked how Octomom has no clue what she’s in for with raising eight kids (in addition to the other six Suleman had before popping out the fabled octet) and accused her of seeking attention. In return, Suleman has pretty much returned the fire, noting that Gosselin was the pot calling the kettle black.
Additionally, they’ve both criticized one another for their plastic surgeries — Octomom’s Angelina Jolie-fication and Kate’s obvious tummy tuck enabling her to prance around in a bikini with a new, higher belly button.

Universal and Illumination Entertainment Announced on June 1st 2009 that they have bought the rights to “Where’s Waldo.†They are planning on making a live action film based on the character. It took a great deal of time to solidify the rights as there was quite a bidding war.
The concept of Waldo was actually known as “Where’s Wally†when it first came out. The series was created in the UK, and eventually found its way to the US and Canada. The first book was published in 1987. The books eventually created a TV series, comic strip, and video games. The concept of Waldo was to try and find the man in a maze of pictures where other people, animals, and art were given. In some of the books it was quite difficult to find Waldo for the masses of people created. In others there were more buildings and animals which lessened the amount of people Waldo could hide behind.
