There is some really exciting news. If you’re like me and not a huge manga fan, you probably have missed this one. Dragonball Z - the movie is in the works and set to be released next year (2009).

It’s actually really cool, because I loved Dragonball Z the cartoon when i was a kid, I think i actually pretty much watched all the seasons, so I am pretty excited about this one. All I can say at this point, is that I am afraid that the movie ends up like Speed Racer, a flock.

Based on the the teaser poster I found at Slashfilm.com, it doesn’t look like the characters look as extravagant as they appear in the original television serie:

…but maybe that’s a good thing, to keep it real.
