Sweeney Todd: we need the costume & wig!
There is an upcoming movie we recently blogged about, I will be eager to watch when it comes out on DVD or on the cable: Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
It’s coming out right for the Holidays on December 21st, so if you were looking to do something with the kids during the Holidays, go hit the movie theater! There are a few reasons I am excited about this movie.
- I think Johnny Depp is one of the best actors EVER and he is just amazing in every role he’s played and I am certain he will be at singing;
- Tim Burton is probably one of the most creative movie directors out there, and he makes fun, entertaining, magical movies… almost 30 movies in total in his career if I am not mistaking, one of the best being
- This movie comes directly from a Broadway musical produced like 30 yrs ago and it can only be good
- Who doesn’t like a really good scary musical tale!?
- I bet costumes will come out of that movie
If you haven’t heard much about the movie, let me spread some info about it.
Based on the hit Broadway musical which tells the infamous story of Benjamin Barker, a.k.a Sweeney Todd, who sets up a barber shop down in London which is the basis for a sinister partnership with his fellow tenant, Mrs. Lovett. More at IMDb.
There is a bunch of incredible actors in the movie, you’ll probably notice in the movie trailer that even Borat’s got a role…
Tim Burton and Johnny Depp are also an incredible team, so I am certain we won’t get disappointed… Remember the movies Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sleepy Hollow, Edward Scissorhands?
And of course, I am hoping to see a Sweeney Todd costume, Sweeney Todd wig and make up for next Halloween… hint hint costume makers.

HEY ALL!
My fiance and I are going to be Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett for Halloween this year! We’re so excited!! We’re making our costumes, so they are hopefully figers crossed going to be good.
