About Zorro

Zorro is a fictional character created by Johnston McCulley. The Zorro character was in ‘All Story Weekly’ a magazine publication offered weekly. They started running the stories in 1919. Don Diego de la Vega is the normal appearance of Zorro’s character in the tales. Zorro is the hero, but like many he needed a secret identity. The tales went on for some time in the publication, leading to 1959, a year after McCulley died. The last publication was written before his death. There were also movies and television series created based on Zorro. The most famous of movies was released in 1998 with Antonio Banderas, Catherine Zeta Jones, and Anthony Hopkins as Don Diego de la Vega.

Dressing up as Zorro

Zorro has a particular costume that he is always seen in. The costume for children through adults has been created on the film version and original costume. The costume is based on 1820’s, so you have the black pants, black blouse which is much like a pirate costume, black boots, cape, mask, and black gloves. There is also a sword with the costume that can be found. To top the entire costume is the cowboy hat. Another costume were be princess bride costumes with Dread Pirate Roberts which is a similarly fashioned to the Zorro outfit.
