About Zombie

A zombie is a reanimated corpse of a human. The stories of zombies first appeared in Caribbean folk lore with the Vodou. It was thought that the wrong kind of vodou could raise the dead. From this thought of the dead being raised to walk again came many tales of zombies. The first was in 1968 with the Night of the Living Dead film by George Romero. From then on Hollywood has been trying to recreate the zombie appearance in several films including the adaptation of the game Resident Evil to film. Another possible origin of Zombies comes from the West Indian term for ghost which is Jumbie. The first appearance of zombie like creatures or the word comes from 1871.

Dressing up as Zombie

There are plenty of zombie creatures you can take form Hollywood movies to determine your zombie costume. There are several children and adult sized costumes available including a zombie cheerleader, gauze zombie, zombie doctor, grave lords, and Soul Stalker costume. No matter what you would like to be in a zombie like costume the ideas are there. Resident Evil costumes are another choice that you have regarding dressing up like a zombie. There are face masks, wigs, and an entire outfit to choose from.
