About Yoda

Jedi Master Yoda, wise master of the Force and teacher of Jedi, is not only one of the senior members of the Jedi Council but the wisest and truly most powerful Jedi! Small, green, and with pointed ears, no one knew exactly what alien race Yoda had descended from. He lived for 900 years and served roughly 800 as a Grand Jedi Master, presiding over the Council and helping to train nearly every Jedi that ever passed through the temple until its destruction.

Defeated by Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious, Yoda went into hiding on the swamp planet, Dagobah until he was sought out by young Luke Skywalker, son of Anakin. He took over the task of training Luke in the ways of the Force after Obi Wan Kenobi died.

Master Yoda stars in The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
