About WWE

Founded in 1952, World Wrestling Federation (or WWE) was created by Jess McMahon under the name of Capitol Wrestling. It changed hands to Jess' son, Vincent J. McMahon and eventually to his son and current CEO of the WWE universe, Vince McMahon.
