About Wizards

Wizards are magical people they can be known as magician, mage, sorcerer or even witch. Wizards are fantasy. It is hard to say when the term wizard came about or when the idea to create magical people was formed. It seems that it is a thing since the beginning of time when you think about mythology and the religion of the Romans and Greeks. Both Roman and Greek peoples believed in gods and goddesses who had the power to manipulate the world. The Druids were considered magical people, and that has led to the Wiccan religion. Wizards are said to perform magic like lighting candles, fire, turning people into animals, and much more. Wizards often have wands that amplify their magical powers. The most famous fictional wizard of all time is Harry Potter and the JK Rowling book series.

Dressing up as Wizards

Since wizards have been around for a long time, you have many different costumes to choose from. Harry Potter and characters from those books are just the latest fictional characters to provide a costume. For example if you want to be a Hogwarts wizard you would need black robes with the Hogwarts symbol, a dress shirt, vest, black pants, and a wand. Hermione Granger would also require a lot of books and buck teeth. For Professor Snape you might want greasy dark hair and sneer as part of your robed costume. Other wizards in fiction have lent us costumes like Gandolff from Lord of the Rings. In this case you would need long white hair, a wand, and blue robes. Medieval costumes are also an idea for wizards.
