About Watchmen

"Who watches the Watchmen?" Before it became a motion picture, Watchmen was a 12-issue comic book later turned into an acclaimed graphic novel written in 1986 by Alan Moore (who also authored V for Vendetta). Watchmen centers on a group of flawed superheroes who are being targeted for extinction by an unknown source. The inner-drama between members of the team and their troubled pasts surface after years apart. Complicating matters is that they have to reunite to stop a potential nuclear holocaust although "masked vigilantes" have been banned as part of a government act. Members -- past and present -- of the Watchmen include Dr Manhattan, Silk Spectre, Comedian, Rorschach, Ozymandias, and Night Owl.

Dressing up as the Watchmen

Pick your favorite member of the Watchmen to dress as for a comic convention, superhero bash, or even the premiere of Watchmen itself. Shroud yourself in mystery as the masked Rorschach whose mood is reflected in the ever-changing ink blot of his mask. Dress as the Comedian, a colorful character who can be anything but funny. Create a secret identity with a Dr Manhattan mask, an atomic superhero for the modern age. Ladies may want to don the guise of the Silk Spectre with a costume and Silk Spectre wig. Get a bunch of friends together to become a superhero squad or go it solo without anyone to "watch" your back.
