About Vince McMahon

Vincent Kennedy McMahon was born in 1945 and is the Chairman and CEO of WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment). Although Vince McMahon had always wanted to be a wrestler, his father (and previous owner of WWE) Vincent J. McMahon would not allow it. Instead, Vince worked his way up through the ranks as an interviewer and commentator before he eventually purchased the family business from his father. Under Vince's direction, WWE blossomed into a multi-billion dollar entertainment industry. He revolutionized professional wrestling by turning it into "sports entertainment" with soap opera-like storylines and beefy, muscular men beating the crap out of each other. Vince McMahon also finally got his wish to wrestle, often taking his vicious CEO character into the middle of the ring and actually wrestling on television.
