"Would you be my Valentine?" The term "valentine" stems from the Roman Saint Valentine who was a priest that performed marriages in secret to Roman men and women. The Emperor at the time decreed that all Roman men must remain single under the pretense that single men made better soldiers than married men. Valentine had performed these marriages in an effort to aid young lovers and convert the faithful from the Roman populace. Every February 14th, lovers worldwide remember the story of St Valentine and refer to their sweethears as their "Valentines."

Dressing up as Valentine

Show some love this Valentine's Day with a costume in either pink or red, in tune with the romantic spirit of the day. Dress up as Cupid, the son of the Greek Goddess Aphrodite who shoots arrows into the hearts of lovers causing them to fall for one another. Ladies can dress as a Sexy Cupid with cute, flouncy costumes with detachable wings and shimmering pink or red togas adorned with hearts or jewels. Ladies can also demand all the chocolates and roses their heart desires dressed as a Queen of Hearts sure to steal a few of those on Valentine's Day!
