About Unicorn

A unicorn is a fabled creature. They are quite popular in mythology. The name means one horn, and that is really how they are depicted. They are like a horse yet they have a single horn on their forehead. The horn has been considered lucky and in some adaptations they have made it gold. A unicorn from the earliest mythological references is supposed to have a horn with a billy goat beard, lion’s tail, and cloven hooves. In movies like Harry Potter the unicorn blood is very valuable. In Legend an early Tom Cruise movie the unicorn is another valuable creature who rarely shows themselves. Unicorns are always depicted in white because they are supposed to be the purest of animals.

Dressing up as Unicorn

Unicorn costumes are usually for children, but there are a few adult costumes as well. For the children, costumes are made with a bunting material in which the feet and hands have coverings. The material is usually white. The costume also has a hood which velcros under the neck. The horse snout, ears, and horn sit above the forehead of the wearer. You can have a purple or pink unicorn if you wish as a costume. The main part of the costume is a jumpsuit. It normally has a zipper in the front for easy access. As part of the jumpsuit there is a tail.
