About Undead
The undead is the description or name given to mythological, legendary, or ghostly beings. Technically the beings are dead, yet they have living abilities such as walking. Most renditions of the undead are zombies or vampires. A zombie is a human long dead that has risen from their grave. Although the zombie undead can also be killed by deadly viruses making them walk around dead as in the games and movies Resident Evil. The vampire is a different sort of undead creature. Unlike zombies, vampires can walk, talk, and live like normal humans except for the drinking of blood issue! Zombies are mindless killers of humans ripping out throats and moaning as they walk around. Stoker in the novel Dracula was one of the first to use the word undead in modern literature.
Dressing up as Undead
Since an undead being can be a ghost, vampire, zombie, or any being that is dead yet walking around, you have a number of different costumes to choose from. The undead Stalker for example has come from down under to rise and walk around in a black long overcoat, tall black top hat, and armbands. This undead creature needs white makeup, black eyes, and some deadly hands to strike at the next unsuspecting female. Another option is the mummy. Mummies are notorious for rising from death to bring plagues down on us all. With the mummy costume you can be wrapped in white paper, with your entire face, except for the eyes covered. You will be a walking stiff with a mummy costume! As a zombie doctor you get a bit of a different look as your blue scrubs are torn and bloody, and your white lab coat reeks of death. You might even have a few exposed bones when you choose a zombie for your undead look.
