About Twisted Sister

Best known for their hits, "We're Not Gonna Take It," "I Wanna Rock," "The Price," and many others Twisted Sister took the world of rock and metal by storm. Releasing their first album "Under the Blade" in 1982, Twisted Sister had a unique androgynous look that featured the band's members sporting long, wild, hairsprayed hair, spandex outfits, and garish makeup. Looks can be deceiving however, as the band's lead singer, the sometimes-controversial Dee Snider has been known for his eloquence, having served on behalf of music at the PMRC hearings in the '80s alongside the unlikely duo of Frank Zappa and John Denver. Nothing rocks more than fighting censorship!
