About '20s

A decade of decadence known as "The {Roaring '20s}," this period of time in the 20th century was characterized by a shift in social attitudes and change. Shrugging off the Victorian era, the {20s} was a much more laid-back era with women trading in their high-necked, full-skirted dresses for the simple shifts and chemises of flapper style. Gentlemen partied hard, yet elegantly and such writers as {F. Scott Fitzgerald} and Ernest Hemmingway took prominence as scenester figures of the day. Things continued along swimmingly until the Stock Market Crash of 1929 and the ensuing Great Depression.
