About Tweety

Tweety or Tweety Pie is a Looney Tunes character created in November 21, 1942. Tweety was created by Bob Clampett and Mel Blanc did the voice for a number of years. Tweety was first seen in a Tale of Two Kitties with his nemesis Sylvester the Cat. Tweety and Sylvester even got their own show later on from Warner Brothers Studios. Tweety is a canary with the ability to talk, fly, and be devious in nature. Tweety is male although many at first thought he was female. Tweety being a bird does have some interesting play on words for kitty cat the typical saying is ‘puddy tat’. Another loveable phrase is “I tawt I taw a puddy tat’ and ‘I did, I did taw a puddy tat.’ These phrases are used in almost every cartoon the pair has ever been in.

Dressing up as Tweety

Tweety is a Canary and therefore the costumes will be completely yellow. You can elect to purchase just the mask if you are on a budget or a full costume with head included. There are toddler to adult sizes in the Tweety costume selection. With Sylvester being a key element in the cartoons you also have that choice or Granny. Looney Tunes costumes are plentiful offering a wide array of Tweety and others. Tweety’s costume will have the trade mark large eyes and sweeping eyelashes.
