Men's traditional formalwear is usually referred to as a tuxedo or "tux", consisting of black dress pants, a suit jacket, starched-white shirt with a wing collar, and a black bow tie. Cut to the extreme dictates of fashion, most tuxedos are set apart with a shiny or matte satin stripe going down the side of the leg's outer seam. A matching lapel on the jacket is also another facet of this formalwear. Although the tuxedo is usually black, they can come in a variety of different colors and styles. Depending on what is currently in fashion, a tuxedo vest is also popular or is the cumberbund. Traditionally, a bow tie is worn with a tux, but a simple black tie has also made a comeback with the ensemble, too!
