Troy Bolton, played by Zac Efron, is a character from the three high school musical movies. The latest High School Musical film just came out on video. The premise of the first movie is that Troy loves to sing and dance. He is very good at it, but his father insists that he concentrate on basketball to win a scholarship. Troy tries to find middle ground in both, but also wants to sing with Gabriella. They even enter a musical together. The other two films build on this premise of mixing theatre in with high school life.
