One of the most popular toy lines and cartoon series of the 80s, the Transformers are "More than meets the eye." These "robots in disguise" transformed themselves from average-looking vehicles like a Volkswagon Beetle or a tractor trailer cab into highly sophisticated beings from the planet Cybertron. The Transformers were split into two factions: the heroic Autobots led by Optimus Prime and the aptly-named Decepticons led by the diabolical Megatron and Starscream, the jet-transformer who was constantly trying to usurp Megatron.

The Transformers were a major hit on the big screen with live action films based on the of the classic cartoon and toy line, starring Shia LaBeouff and Megan Fox. Both the original and its sequel, "Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen" were major summer blockbusters, earning millions at the box office when they rolled out.

Dressing as a Transformer
