About Train Conductor
Every train needs to have a train conductor to function. A train conductor is the head of the “train crew.” Meaning he is going to supervise the activities that go on. For example ticket collectors can be train conductors, but they can also be separate individuals. The train conductor is going to coordinate with the engineer and dispatcher regarding the movements of the train. They will also be alert to signals, switches, and other conditions that could affect the trains movements. They will keep a log or record of the journey.
