About Toga Parties

A time-honored college and party animal tradition, the toga party was made popular by John Belushi and his Delta Tau Kai brothers in the 1978 comedy classic, "Animal House." Dressing up in homemade costumes constructed of bedsheets to resemble ancientRoman garb became the thing to do when throwing a party. When in Rome, do as the (faux) Romans do and shout "To-ga! To-ga!" at the top of your lungs like good ol' Bluto, D-Day, and Flounder.
