About Tiger

Recognized for their orange fur with black vertical stripes, tigers are the largest of the big cats. Native to east and south Asia, they are solitary mammal carnivores that require large hunting areas to support their diet of boar and deer, buffalo, yak and smaller mammals. This, coupled with habitat destruction and hunting of humans, has put the six species of tigers on the endangered species list. Mutations in the tigers DNA can produce white tigers, that have white fur with black stripes, blue eyes, and pink noses. While rare in the wild, white tigers are fairly common in captivity. In many cultures, tigers are an iconic species, they were even named the “World’s Favorite Animal.” Tigers are often used in folklore and literature, appearing on flags, cereal boxes and sports teams jerseys.

Dressing up as Tiger

To be a famous tiger you can dress up in the stripes of Shere Khan from The Jungle Book, Tigger from Winnie the Pooh, Hobbes from Calvin and Hobbes or Tony the Tiger. If you are one in a million, try on a plush white tiger costume with gloves and a plush tiger head on the attached hood. Cheering on your team? Show your Tiger spirit in a head to toe mascot-style fur costume. You can also try a plastic tiger mask or plush orange and black ears and tail set. In a pinch, you can make tiger stipes on your face with a face paint kit and you’ll look GRRREAT!
