About the Three Stooges

One of the most famous comedy teams to come out of vaudeville and make the transition to the big screen and television were the Three Stooges. Originally paired up as comedic foils to Ted Healey, the Stooges branched out on their own. The best-loved trio was the combination of Moe, Larry, and Curly. Moe was the aggressive leader of the group who managed to bully the other two into his cockamamie schemes. Larry was the voice of reason, yet a "yes man" to Moe (you'd say yes to Moe, too, if you were threatened with "five across the eyes!"). And then there was Curly, a large, simpleton with childlike enthusiasm who would get riled up at the drop of a hat and was the frequent target of Moe's bullying. When Curly could no longer Stooge it up after sadly, suffering a major stroke, Moe and Curly's brother, Shemp joined the trio.

Dressing up as the Three Stooges
