About Thor's Hammer

The Norse God of Thunder, Thor was never seen without his powerful weapon, Mjolnir. Translated to mean "crusher", Mjolnir was Thor's hammer, and was made by dark elves who imbued it with magic. As part of the hammer's power, Mjolnir never failed to hit its target and if thrown, would always find its way back to Thor's hand. It could also be as larger or as small as the Thunder God wished, allowing it to be large enough to crush his enemies or small enough to carry on his belt or concealed beneath his cape. Miniature versions of Mjolnir were worn by the Norse as a sign of their belief in the gods of Asgard, similar to the way Christians wear a cross necklace as a symbol of their faith.

Dressing up with Thor's Hammer

The officially licensed Marverl version of Mjolnir features a faux leather-wrapped handle with a granite-look to the actual hammer end of the accessory.
