About Thor

The ancient Norse God of Thunder, Thor was known as a god of the people and particularly the working man. Represented by his thunder-making hammer, Mjolnir, Thor is immortalized in our own calendar week as "Thursday" is named for him.

In the Marvel comics universe, Thor is a superhero who also happens to be a god. Biding his time between Asgaard (the realm of the Norse gods above) and the citizens of Earth, Thor has sworn to protect mankind. Much like in Norse lore, the Thor of the Marvel universe is the son of Odin, is married to the goddess Sif, and his chief enemy is the shapeshifting trickster Loki. Quite a departure from Norse legend, Thor is also a member of the Avengers, a team of superheroes that also includes Captain America, Iron Man, and the Hulk.

Dressing up as Thor

Hoist mighty Mjolnir, {Thor's hammer} over your head and find yourself transformed into one of the mightiest gods and superheroes this world and Asgaard has ever seen!

For a more traditional look that's in line with ancient mythology, dress up in the Thor Viking costume in earthy brown cape, tunic, and belt trimmed in regal gold with a horned helmet.
