About the Grinch

For a guy who hated Whos and Christmas through and through, who would have thought The Grinch would become a part of Christmas, too? {Dr. Seuss}' storybook character of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" was created in 1957 and was made into an animated television special in 1966. The green Grinch of indeterminate origin or species was voiced by the legendary Boris Karloff who animated the special that has become a much anticipated holiday tradition. Jim Carey later played the Grinch in a live-action movie based on Seuss' story!

The Grinch, who starts off with a dastardly plot to ruin Christmas for the Whos of Whooville. He involves his loveable dog, Max, as an unwilling accomplice. Along the way, he realizes something about the Spirit of Christmas, that it's not so bad, and the Grinch's heart "grows three sizes" that day, enabling him to save Christmas.

Dressing up as The Grinch

With his red and white Santa suit against his furry green skin, don't you think he looks festive? Don't tell The Grinch that! Instead, take a cue from his style and get into the spirit of things with a Grinch mask or costume. The mask is a likeness of Dr. Seuss' devious-turned-doting creation made of high quality green latex. They come with or without a Santa hat attached.
