Although there are many different flavors and ways to cultivate and ferment tea leaves, there is only one type of tea plant in the world. The Camellia sinensis plant produces leaves which are processed and dried to be placed in bags or a strainer, steeped in hot water to release the flavor. Tea comes in a variety of colors, including white, green, red, and black. White tea is the least processed of all teas with a lighter flavor, green the next least processed, then red, followed by black which takes the longest to dry and ferment. It all comes from the same tea leaf, it's all in how that leaf is aged. Different cultures from around the world serve tea in their own ways. The British favor black tea while Asian cultures such as the Chinese and Japanese are fond of green tea. Chai tea features added spices and is a favorite tea of India. Tea is served in cups and depending on preference can be served with any combination of sugar and milk, or honey and lemon to enhance flavor.

Dressing up as Tea

Have costumed tea party with colorful costumes. Dress as the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland with an oversized hat and colorful suit. Ladies also have the option of a sexy Mad Hatter costume in green with off-the-shoulder styling and flared skirt with matching stockings and top hat. Or, try on the teapot costume for size with a clever, 3D-type costume!

For laughs that will leave your guests with their mouths hanging wide open, go for the Teabag costume which includes a simple, white tunic with a large faux "staple" at the top and "tea leaves" at the bottom.
