About Talladega Nights

"Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" is a 2006 comedy starring Will Ferrell. Ferrell plays Ricky Bobby, a NASCAR racecar driver whose spectacular rise, fall, and rise again is chronicled in the movie. Ricky Bobby is raised by his single mother and realizes that he is "born to go fast," picking up racecar driving. He marries, has two sons -- Walker and Texas Ranger -- and finds himself in a heated rivalry against French driver, Jean Girard. Ricky and his best friend/fellow driver Cal Naughton, Jr. frequently enjoy getting thrown out of Applebee's and chewing Big Red.
