Originally, Cupid was the son of the Goddess of Love, Aphrodite in Greek and Roman mythology. According to legend, his arrows would cause mortals to fall in love with one another.... And sometimes, Stupid Cupid misses, resulting in broken hearts thanks to a botched aim.
