About Street Fighter
A favorite among video gamers, the Street Fighter series of arcade and home video games was first released by Capcom in 1987. "Street Fighter" falls into the category of a fighter game, with each player choosing a different character to "fight" opponents and other characters in the game. A forerunner to Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter was revolutionary in creating a mythos behind each character and how they inter-relate to other characters in the game. Additionally, each character has a different fighting style to play as, with gamers using different buttons to pull off signature "combos" to earn more points and yield more damage to an opponent.
Dressing up as Street Fighter
Dress up as some of your favorite characters from the classic arcade and home console game, Street Fighter. Square off with a friend as rivals Ken and Ryu with officially licensed costumes consisting of a modified sleeveless gi, one in red with black trim and another in white with black trim. Add your own black or blonde character wig for their anime-styled 'dos!
Ladies can dress up as Chun Li, with her short, blue and whitecheongsam to allow Chun Li to get her best kicks in. Style your hair into two buns and decorate them with the included hair ornaments. Add your own pair of white boots to complete the look.
For a different sort of character, you can dress up as Akuma, one of the bosses from the game. Named for a Japanese demon, Akuma's costume comes with a blue gi with pants and a sleeveless top and a set of wooden-style prayer beads to wear around your neck. Top it off with a (sold separately) Akuma wig, a red wig tied into a topknot like that of the character.
