About Statler Waldorf

Statler and Waldorf are the two grumpy old men who sit in a private box at the Muppet Theatre. The two elderly gentlemen frequently remark "It's like a kind of torture / To have to watch the show" -- even though they sit through The Muppet Show every week. Statler and Waldorf amuse themselves, however, by heckling the performers from their box, particularly the sensitive comedian, Fozzie Bear. Ironically, Statler and Waldorf are friends with Fozzie's mother.
