About Spock

Half human and half Vulcan, Spock was the second-in-command on the U.S.S. Starship Enterprise. Serving under Captain James T. Kirk, Spock's predominantly Vulcan attitude provided him with a cool, rational demeanor to the passionate leadership skills of Captain Kirk. While he was not an emotional man, Spock's kindness showed through on many an occasion during Star Trek's original run in the 1960s and in the series of films that followed. Spock sacrificed himself for his crew on many an occassion, actually giving up his life for them. In return, Kirk and the rest of the crew went to great lengths to bring Spock back to life. Although he was mild-mannered, do not underestimate Spock in hand-to-hand combat, often using the brutal "Vulcan Nerve Pinch" to subdue an opponent.
