About Spiderman

Created in 1962 by Marvel's main man, Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko, the webslinger is still going strong over 40 years later with several of his own comic book series and three highly successful motion pictures to his credit. Spidey acheived his super hero status when he was bit by a radioactive spider, giving him the ability to crawl walls, sense danger, and take on baddies. This radioactive bite turned Peter Parker into the Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman, a super hero who has to conceal his "average Joe" identity from his dear, sweet Aunt May and his girlfriend, Mary Jane Watson.

Dressing up as Spiderman

With great power, comes great costuming choices! There are a ton of different Spiderman costumes designed to fit not only your budget, but sizes ranging from children to adults. You can choose from Spiderman's classic red-and-blue ensemble or his darker, alter-ego, Venom with an all black costume with white webbing. Each costume comes with a full body suit (some have optional "muscle" padding) and a full-coverage over-the-head face mask for you to hide your Spider-dentity!

A great couples' costume idea, ladies have the option of dressing as Spider Girl or wearing a long red wig and going as Peter Parker's spunky gal pal, Mary Jane or a long blonde wig with a stylish headband and white go go boots as the sweet Gwen Stacy!

Even pets can get in on the act with a Spiderman Pet costume with a half-mask and upper part of Spidey's body suit!
