A spider is an arachnid, which in science means many joint legged creature. Spiders are considered by most to be insects, though they have their own genus and are actually arachnids not insects. Other species may cause welts when they bite humans, but are not considered deadly to us. There is a poison in the fangs of the spider which will render their pray stunned or dead. They also create webs in order to trap their meals. For most of the time if you are wondering which spiders are poisonous you can look at their coloring. Bright stripes like yellow, red, etc on the back of a spider usually means they are very poisonous. Yet, the black widow and brown spider are not at all brightly colored. Spiders in terms of costumes provide us with two: Black widow and spiderman.
