About Slipknot

Out of the cornfields of Iowa, Slipknot is one of the most distinctive metal bands to ever hit the music scene. Consisting of nine masked members, each with their own distinctive character and mask, Slipknot are know by their rabid fan following (affectionately referred to as "maggots") for their high energy live performances. Although their look is unmistakable, Slipknot has an easily recognizable sound, punctuated by aggressive beats, thunderous guitar riffs, and lyrics rampant with aggression and discontent. Having released their first album in 1996, the band continues to tour and will be releasing a new disc very soon in addition to touring.

Dressing up as Slipknot

For years, Slipknot fans attempted to construct their own boiler suits and homemade masks as tributes to their favorite members. Now, it's just as easy as picking up a costume. Slipknot uniforms are available in basic black with the band's barcode imprinted upon them and with a set of nine patches with numbers "0" through "9" to attach, marking you as your favorite member. No good Slipknot costume is complete without an officially licensed Slipknot mask. Variations on the nine masks are available, from {Shawn "Clown" Crahan}'s clown mask, to drummer Joey Jordison' Kabuki style mask.
