About Simon Cowell

Sometimes known as "the meanest man on television," Simon Cowell is a British television personality, producer, music talent scout, and all-around entrepreneur. American television audiences came to know him as one of the original three (now four) judges on the popular singing competition, American Idol. Known for his scathing (and usually spot-on honest!) critiques of hopeful singers on the show, Simon has a reputation as being the sternest judge at the AI table, and the "bad cop" to Paula Abdul's "good cop," often trading barbs with Paula during the show. Simon is also a host of "America's Got Talent" and "Britain's Got Talent" and has also been an executive producer on other reality shows like "Grease is the Word," "X Factor," and many others.
