About Sheep

Sheep have been domesticated for several centuries as a source of food and clothing. The wool from sheep makes several clothes a year. The important thing with sheep is that you have to shave them when they have enough hair and it usually takes a year to grow back. To shave the sheep is considered shearing which is done on farms with equipment. Most of the sheep are in Europe, Asia and Australia, though there are some sheep farms in North and South America. Sheep are kept in a herd. There have been relationships to mythology for sheep as well. The Golden Fleece is one of the most well known stories. There is also the Abrahamic traditions and Arcadian imagery. Sheep have been used as sacrificial animals in the past.

Sheep are often cuddly little characters for Halloween, but you have plenty of costumes to choose from depending on your wish. You can be a black sheep, Sheep dog, regular sheep or fairy tale sheep. The sheep costumes will come in infant up to adults depending on your needs. There are even accessories such as masks and handbags if you wish to make the costume complete. As a sheep you will find more of the costumes are one piece and made from a white cotton material. They have the black hooves. There will also be a hood with the sheep like ears and the correct tail on the back side. Most of the sheep costumes allow your natural face to be the costume, which means you might need a little makeup to pull it off or a sheep style nose.
