Thanks to the glamourization of these rapscallion seafarers with films like Pirates of the Caribbean, pirates have been considered sexy for some time now. Whether original seafaring pirates were seen as rockstar suave as Jack Sparrow or as beautiful as the Pirate Queen, Elizabeth Swan, is not entirely proven. Throughout history, however, there have been a number of female pirates (whether or not they were considered sexy is left to history), including Captain Anne Bonny who was married to Captain James Bonny and then had an affair with a pirate by the name of Calico Jack.

Dressing up as a Sexy Pirate

Ladies wishing to add a little more "swash" to their "buckle" as a pirate can do so with short, sassy, sexy pirate costumes in a variety of colors in a rich array of fabrics. The pirate dresses feature a short, flared skirt, best worn with a petticoat in black, white, red, or pink to add extra "poof" to your pirate. The long-sleeved top part of these dresses terminate in ruffled sleeves and feature a lace-up bodice style that hoists your cleavage as high as the Jolly Roger flag. Add a pair of saucy folded-over buccaneer boots or lace up sexy pirate boots in black. Top it off with a lacy pirate hat in either black or burgandy, trimmed with frilly ribbons and lace in a contrasting color.
