According to the Catholic Church, there are Seven Deadly Sins (also known as "Cardinal Sins" or "Capital Sins). These sins are considered to be the granddaddy of them all and excessive transgressions with these seven vices will land you on a one-way ticket to a specific circle of Hell, a la Dante's Inferno. The Seven Deadly sins include: Pride (or Vanity), Lust, Gluttony, Wrath, Sloth, Greed, and Envy (or Jealousy). The only remedy for these seven cardinal sins is to make a heartfelt repentence and confession to a member of the clergy.
