About Semi Pro

The title of a 2008 comedy starring Will Ferrell, "Semi Pro" follows Ferrell's character, Jackie Moon a former '70s pop star turned American Basketball Association owner of the team, the Fling Tropics. Moon uses the funds from his one hit single, "Love Me Baby" (that he stole from his mother) to launch his newest career in the realm of professional sports. In danger of disolving, Moon cuts a deal to have the top four teams in the ABA assimilated into the NBA as he wildly pulls stunt after stunt to take his team to the top and earn a spot in the new National Basketball League.
