About Scottish Kilts
A traditional form of dress for those who take pride in their ancient, Highlander heritage, the Scottish kilt did more than just keep the family jewels cool. Kilts came in a wide variety colors and plaid patterns called "Tartans." Each unique tartan was worn by a particular clan or family of Scots from different regions of Scotland. Each respective clan would proudly sport their tartan kilt in their every day life and even in battle like a portable, wearable coat of arms.
