About Santa

The legend of Kris Kringle, St. Nick, Father Christmas or his best-known alias -- Santa Claus -- dates back hundreds, if not thousands of years in folklore. Based on the kindly St. Nicholas of Myra who paid the dowries of three young girls and even to pre-Christian times with the Norse God Odin and his eight-legged horse Sleipnir, Santa Claus has long been a figure who has rewarded good children with acts of kindness. On the days before Christmas Eve, Santa Claus resides at the North Pole with Mrs. Claus, his eight reindeer (plus Rudolph!) and a slew of toy-making elves.

Dressing as Santa

The most widely recognized depiction of Santa Claus comes to us thanks to artist Haddon Sundblorn's depiction of Father Christmas in vintage Coca Cola ads. Ever since then, Santa has always sported a red and white suit. Dress as Santa with a number of costumes to fit your form and budget! Each set comes complete with a red padded jacket (to create the illusion of shaking like a bowl full of jelly without consuming as many cookies as Santa!) trimmed in white faux fur. Also included are red pants, black boot covers and a matching belt, white gloves, and of course a red stocking cap trimmed in white faux fur. Ho, ho, ho! For a more traditional or even Victorian look, there are several long Father Christmas robes in green, red, or even gold and trimmed with faux fur to keep Santa warm while delivering all of those gifts.
