About Sally

In Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas," Sally is the spirited, yet sweet rag doll who is in love with Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King. Created by the mad scientist Dr. Finklestein, Sally is kept locked up and away from the rest of the residents of Halloweentown. Resourceful and intelligent, Sally frequently detaches (and later resews) her own limbs to escape. She also attempts to talk sense into her beloved Jack when his schemes sound less than rational.

Dressing up as Sally

A favorite character with a gothic leaning, Sally is cute, crafty, and crafted. Dress as the Nightmare Before Christmas' resident ragdoll with an officially licensed costume featuring a one-piece "patchwork" style dress in bright colors and mis-matched patterns. Also included is an orange yarn Sally wig and a pair of long gloves that extend up inside the dress's sleeves to give you the look Sally's own stitched arms.

Add a pair of cute Mary Janes or boots to the costume with striped stockings to complete the look. Add a finishing touch by doing your own character makeup, drawing "stich marks" on your face with an eyeliner pencil for a look that will make any Pumpkin King melt!
