About Ryu

One of the main characters in Capcom's video game franchise, Street Fighter, Ryu is the heroic martial artist who battles his way through the tournament's ranks. Ryu is frequently seen alongside his friend, rival, and fellow martial artist, Ken -- a blonde warrior who wears a sleeveless red gi, similar to the sleevless, ragged white gi that darkhaired Ryu wears. Ryu's signature move is the devastating Dragon Punch, which caused the telltale scar on brawler Sagat's chest. Ryu also has a dark side, the character of Evil Ryu -- a stronger, faster, and more ruthless version of the normally noble protagonist of the game.

Dressing up as Ryu

Available in adult sizes, fans of the video game Street Fighter can dress up as main character Ryu with officially licensed costumes. Included in this set is a sleeveless white gi top and pants with a jagged hem. The gi-style shirt features an open-front chest and similarly tattered hem on the arm-openings and is belted with an included black sash. Also included is a red headband.

You can further accessorize this costume with a short black wig in a spiky style or boxing gloves.
