About Royalty

Any country with a ruling monarchy (or who used to have a ruling monarchy but now retains them as state figureheads) has royalty in its history. Royalty is a system in which rulers are assigned a rank or title and this title is passed down from one generation to the next. At the top of the royal food chain is the King and Queen. Directly below them are Princes and Princesses, who are usually the children of the King and Queen, or their sons- or daughters-in-law. Nobility also includes Dukes, Duchesses, Barons, Baronesses, and Lords and Ladies ranking in the lower tiers of {royalty).

Dressing up as Royalty

Hear he, hear ye! In a royal proclamation, ye shall dress in proper, royal costume attire this Halloween! Dress up as royalty with a historic theme such as Queen Elizabeth I, Queen Mary, or even Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette. Aspire to be a Prince or Princess.... Or for a modern touch, find yourself dressed as rock royalty with a striped wig that will allow you to command the attention of your subjects from the stage. And when in doubt, get ready for some royal Purple Rain and dress up as '80s-era Prince!
