About Rocky

The fictional tale of a Philadelphia boxer who goes from rags to riches to rags again, the Rocky saga is one of filmdom's most enduring franchises. The first "Rocky" film was written by star, Sylvester Stallone in 1976 with Stallone fighting the production company tooth and nail for the role which they wanted to give to James Caan. In the film, Rocky goes from being a common street thug to a boxer, aided by local trainer Mickey Goldmill, a fiesty old man who tells Rocky like it is. In the middle of his feud with champion Apollo Creed, Rocky meets and marries Adrian, famously declaring "Yo, Adrian! I did it!" at the film's climax. The film was nominated for 9 Academy Awards and won 3, including Best Picture in 1976. Rocky spawned several sequels, the sixth (and possibly final) one being 2006's "Rocky Balboa."

Dressing up as Rocky

Officially licensed Rocky Balboa costumes are available in sizes to fit adults and kids. Each costume features the red, white, and blue boxing trunks famously sported by Rocky during some of his most memorable onscreen fights, with an attached muscle chest piece. Also included are a set of red boxing gloves and a white robe with "Balboa" stitched on the back. An officially licensed Rocky wig made of synthetic black hair is also available to give you the boxer's thick black locks.
