About Robin

In DC Comics, Robin is the young sidekick to the Caped Crusader, Batman. The very first Robin, Dick Grayson was the orphaned son of circus performers whom Bruce Wayne took in as his own ward. Grayson later broke out on his own as the superhero, Darkwing with Jason Todd assuming the mantle of Batman. When Todd was killed, Tim Drake became Robin after proving himself to Batman with his detective skills. Drake retired and Stephanie Brown became the first female Robin to ever fight Gotham City crime at Batman's side. Brown was believed to have been killed, however her death was a ruse and Drake came out of retirement to be Robin once more. With the sudden, comic book death of Bruce Wayne, the very first Robin, Dick Grayson has taken over Batman's cowl and Bruce Wayne's own son, Damien Wayne is now the newest Robin.

Often referred to as the "Boy Wonder," a young Robin was also a part of the Teen Titans squad of supherheroes.

Dressing up as Robin

Easily distinguished by his (or her) colorful attire, Robin's superhero costume is easily one of the most recognizable. Available in men's, women's, children's, and even pet-sizes, there are officially licensed costumes based on DC Comics' "Boy Wonder." The men's and children's sizes come complete with a long, black cape and jumpsuit with green tights, a red top and yellow belt and an "R" on the chest, as well as black boot covers. The children's version features muscle-padding and substitutes a yellow cape and bootcovers for the adult black. Both costumes include a simple, black domino mask that just covers the eyes to conceal your identity.

Girls and ladies can also dress up as a feminine version of Robin with a dress featuring a shimmery green mini skirt, attached red bodice with "R" on the chest, and matching green shimmer sleeves. Also included is a yellow utility belt and green glovelets to match, as well as a black mask to cover your eyes. Wear with your own green, red, or black boots to complete the costume.
