About Robin Hood

No one knows for sure if Robin Hood actually lived, but he is a beloved figure of English folklore. The medieval upstart robbed from the rich and gave to the poor in the town of Nottingham. Some stories relate that Robin was a commoner while others tell of him being deposed nobility. What doesn't vary is that Robin is frequently accompanied by his Merry Men who help him and reside in Sherwood Forest, keeping the poor safe from the clutches of the corrupt Sheriff of Nottingham. Among some of the Merry Men are Friar Tuck and Little John.

Dressing up as Robin Hood

To look the part of Robin Hood you need a quality, earth-toned costume to blend in to the woods of Sherwood Forest. Choose either a Robin Hood costume in either kelly green or tan/brown to pull off this look. Each costume comes with a belted tunic with lace-up front, regardless of color. Also included is a Robin Hood cap in a matching color with a large feather sticking out of it. Accessorize your costume with an archery set with a bow and quiver of arrows. Wear a good pair of tights, like only a manly man could (a la Mel Brooks' film, "Robin Hood: Men in Tights.")
